The Career Center offers several ways to help you with deciding on a career path and learning more about career areas that interest you, as well as labor market information on your chosen fields.
A Career Exploration Workshop is offered regularly at the centers. (Check the calendars for specific dates.) This workshop will give you tools to assess your skills, personal interests, and priorities on your journey to finding the job that is a good fit for you. It will also help you identify available resources to assist you in finding a rewarding career.
Once you have been initially enrolled to receive services at the Career Center, you will gain access to Missouri Connections. Missouri Connections is a web-based resource to help Missouri citizens determine their career interests, explore occupations, establish education plans, develop job search strategies, and create résumés. Sponsored by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Department of Economic Development, Missouri Connections is available to students, parents, guidance counselors, educators, and job seekers at no charge.
Our professional staff on the Skills Team can meet one-on-one with you to discuss career options and the potential for additional training. Funding for training assistance is limited and individuals must meet eligibility guidelines.
Websites & Computer Access
Finally, once you have met with staff at the Career Center, you will be provided additional career resources and websites to assist you in your career needs.
