Community Foundation of the Ozarks

Rain Garden Project Overview
The Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO) Rain Garden Project at 425 E. Trafficway was a partnership project between CFO, Stormwater Engineering, James River Basin Partnership, and the Missouri Department of Conservation. The CFO Stewardship Ozarks Fund previously provided a grant that funded the Rountree Neighborhood and First Unitarian Universalist Church Rain Garden Projects.

After seeing the success of these projects, CFO decided to install one at their office. Construction of the garden was provided by the Street Maintenance Division of Public Works. This project was completed in April 2008.

The rain garden catches runoff from the parking lot. Pedestrians on the Jordan Creek Greenway Trail can enjoy the colorful blooms and learn about rain gardens from the adjacent interpretive sign. View photos from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks rain garden project.
