First Unitarian Universalist Church

Rain Garden Project Overview
The First Unitarian Universalist Church Rain Garden Project at 2434 E. Battlefield was a partnership project between Stormwater Engineering and James River Basin Partnership. Funding was provided by a grant from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks Stewardship Ozarks Fund with construction provided by the Street Maintenance Division of Public Works.

This project was completed in September 2007. The rain garden catches runoff from the church parking lot, providing an estimated 26% reduction from a 1 inch rainfall. This project includes a particularly diverse and interesting native plant selection.

Church volunteers planted and maintain the rain garden. View photos from the First Unitarian Universalist Church rain garden project.
