Ribbon cutting ceremony for Mobile Career Center during NorthStar Battery hiring event on Monday 4/4

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The City of Springfield Department of Workforce Development and Ozark Region Workforce Development Board are planning a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, April 4, for the Missouri Job Center's Mobile Career Center. The ribbon cutting will be at 9:00 am during the kick off of the NorthStar Battery hiring event. The Mobile Career Center is a full service unit that can be utilized by both job seekers and employers. Employers are able to reserve the Mobile Career Center for off-site hiring events, applicant or current employee assessments, and more. Job seekers are encouraged to utilize the scheduled monthly visits to neighborhoods throughout Springfield for resume assistance, job search assistance, skill assessments, and any additional help regularly accessed at the Missouri Job Center. The Mobile Career Center calendar is available at www.springfieldmo.gov/MobileCareerCenter.

On Monday, April 4, the Missouri Job Center's Mobile Career Center will be at NorthStar Battery, 4000 E. Continental Way, between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with resume and online application assistance. The hiring event will consist of online applications, on-the-spot interviews, and possible conditional offers. NorthStar Battery is looking to fill over 40 positions for both Springfield locations; positions include Production Associates and skilled work positions. Applicants should dress appropriately and bring up-to-date copies of their resume as well as a sheet of prior work experience and references for the online application.
