The City of Springfield uses the National Police Officer Selection Test for the written exam phase of the selection process for Police Officer. This test assesses the following skills: Arithmetic, Reading, Comprehension, Grammar and Writing. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass the exam. Testing schedules are reviewed periodically and may be modified as deemed appropriate and without prior notice.
If you want to purchase resources to help you prepare for the written exam, you can purchase the Practice Test for $15 and the Study Guide for $5 at www.stanard.com. Select ‘For Candidates’, then ‘POST/NFST Study Materials’ option; our test is the 'POST' exam.
